Abstracts & papers

The Polytechnic University of Valencia invites all academics and proffesionals interested in the debate on MODERN AGE FORTIFICATIONS OF THE WESTERN MEDITERRANEAN COAST to submit their contributions in Fortmed 2015 International Conference, both as a full paper or as short paper.

Abstracts

To present a paper at the conference is necessary to make an abstract of 300 words or less, with title, name, affiliation, key words, topic and email address of the authors. Abstracts should be submitted in English or Spanish.

All abstracts must follow the Conference template. The template for abstract is available in the section “Downloads” (see left column).

The submission of abstracts will be made through e-mail fortmed2015@gmail.com. A Word file (.doc) and Adobe Acrobat (.pdf) file should be included. The pdf file will be sent without personal data.

The conference scientific committee will determined accepted abstracts, which will be communicated to authors.

Papers

Upon receipt of the acceptance of the abstract a paper should be presented.

The paper should include an abstract in English, the rest of the paper should preferably be presented in English, but  Spanish, Italian or French will also be accepted.

All papers should follow the template of the Conference. The template for papers is available in the section “Downloads” (see left column). Similarly, in “Instructions for authors”  guidelines for pictures, references, … and other clarifications can be found.

Two types of paper will be accepted:

– Full Paper: 5 to 8 pages, including images, bibliography and references.

– Short paper: 4 pages, including images, bibliography and references.

The Scientific Committee will conduct a blind peer review, determining the acceptance or rejection of communication, and in any case, the facts justifying the exclusion or modification.

All duly accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings with ISBN, after paying the tuition at least one author. Submissions received after the deadlines may not be included in the conference proceedings.

Oral presentation

The Scientific Committee will select the communications to be presented orally at the Conference. The organization will inform to the authors beforehand.

The official languages of the Congress are English and Spanish, however Italian and French can also be used. Simultaneous translation will NOT be available at the Conference. For a better understanding, if the presentation has texts, they must be written in English.

The time for each intervention will be 20 minutes, of which a maximum of 15 minutes will be devoted to oral communication, allowing 5 minutes to change from one speaker to another.

Debates will be organized as indicated by the final program, where the speakers must be present in order to answer questions.

Participants should take into account the current deadlines and registration fee.
